Cork ELV (End of Life Vehicle) Disposal

The ELVES Network is a nationwide network of Authorised Treatment Facilities promoted by ELVES, the approved compliance scheme for End-of-Life Vehicles.

It has been set-up by vehicle manufacturers to improve the recycling of scrap vehicles. It has been approved under the End-of-Life Vehicles Regulations to operate as the compliance scheme for the vehicle sector.

A Certificate of Destruction (CoD) is a legal requirement that confirms that old cars have been disposed of correctly. Possession of a CoD will ensure that you are not liable to a substantial fine.

To issue the CoD you need to bring your Vehicle Licensing or Registration cert with you when you bring your car to us for destruction so that we can inform the licensing authority that it has been removed from the roads.
